This whisky started with a fan's suggestion. Glenora asked a Nova Scotia winery for oak barrels that had held its ice wine, then filled them with a cask-strength Glen Breton single malt.
The team tasted it every day as it picked up sweetness and fruit from the ice wine. After four months they called the finish complete.
The result: Glen Breton's rich malt character with honeyed fruit layered on top. It's a one-of-a-kind pairing of two things Nova Scotia does well, whisky and ice wine.
